France’s 2-0 semi-final victory over Morocco will see Les Bleus make their fourth FIFA World Cup Final. France come to Qatar as reigning champions, having beaten Croatia 4-2 to claim their second World title in Moscow in 2018.
France’s first title came in 1998, France were the tournament hosts. France hammered a vaunted Brazil side 3-0 to win the World Cup on home soil. With a star-studded squad that saw the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and captained by none other than current head coach, Didier Deschamps.
Unfortunately, France finished as Runners-Up in 2006, losing to Italy 5-3 on penalties. A match that will long be remembered for Zinedine Zidane’s red card after headbutting Italy’s Marco Materazzi.
