Cape Town City midfielder Teko Modise believes the club will continue to grow after experiencing a roller-coaster first half of the season.
The Citizens will head into the new year placed second in the Absa Premiership standings with 24 points from 15 games, trailing log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by four points.
Modise admits that Benni McCarthy’s side are still young but insists he is looking forward to helping his side grow and grind out results as they enter the second half of the season.
“Life at Cape Town City has been great,” Modise said.
“I’ve been received well by my teammates, the chairman [John Comitis] and the coaching staff. The reception has been good and the club has made it easy for me to adjust to life in Cape Town.
“It’s been a roller-coaster season. We are still a young team with a lot of potential as well. So, we are actually glad that we won matches in the opening matches of the season, we are still in the mix of things. We hope to continue to grow and get results.”
Cape Town City will take on Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium when the Absa Premiership returns on 5 January 2018.
