Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip set to leave Anfield

Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara and German central defender Joel Matip are both set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

Both star players will run down the their contracts which will end after the Reds final game of the season against Wolves.

Matip joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Schalke is 2016 and developed one of the best defensive partnerships in the world alongside Virgil Van Dijk.

Thiago joined in a £20m deal from Bayern Munich in 2020 but due to injuries could never quite make the impact that was expected.

Both players will bid farewell after Liverpool’s final home  game of the season against Wolves at Anfield.
