Italian left back Riccardo Calafiori’s Premier League and Arsenal career couldn’t have started any better after his incredible screamer against Manchester City last month.
Riccardo Calafiori admits to having a great start at Arsenal and that moving to England was a nice step forward in his career.
Arsenal signed the 22-year-old fullback from Serie A on a deal that will last until the summer of 2029. The former Bologna defender has subsequently made six appearances in the no.33 shirt for Arsenal this season, starting on four occasions and coming on as a substitute twice.
Calafiori scored his first goal for the Gunners, a well placed screamer from outside Ederson’s box against Manchester City in a 2-2 draw last month.

The personality that Riccardo Calafiori has already brought to #Arsenal is amazing. 22 years old, with a seemingly instant adaptation and a sense of humour that isn’t always common in the modern game. Proper baller. #AFC pic.twitter.com/ck76J2lqFF

Despite a 2-0 loss for the Gunners against Bournemouth, Calafiori putt a stellar showing in containing Bournemouth’s wingers even though he did not have much influence in the game going forward.
