Manchester United are set to continue their spending spree by adding Uruguayan defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte to the signings of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.
The midfielder has struggled to settle in at PSG after signing from Sporting Lisbon a year ago and is seriously considering his future.
The Red Devils have already agreed personal terms with Ugarte and are currently negotiating with the Paris club who paid more than £50m to secure his services less than 12 months ago.
During his time in Portugal, the 23 year-old was considered one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe, playing a pivotal role in Ruben Amorim’s success.
Manuel Ugarte would be a great signing for Manchester United with his best attribute being a highly effective ball winner. Given how vulnerable United’s backline was last season, Ugarte could be the perfect addition to protect their new look back four and Andre Onana.
