Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign 20 year-old Spanish striker Samu Omorodion for £35 million.
Omorodion is highly rated in Spain after having a promising start to his La Liga career.
Atletico Madrid are looking to recoup funds after agreeing to sign Conor Gallagher for £35 million and bidding £90 million for Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez.
Omorodion provided nine goal contributions last season on loan at Deportivo Alaves, and would bring an interesting profile to the Blues who are in the market for a starting striker.
Standing at 1.93m tall, the U21 international is raw talent that will need time to adapt to the demands of the Premier League, but with his massive physical threat and blistering pace he would be an exciting player for the future.
🚨🔵 Chelsea have all set with Samu Omorodion to join the club on seven year contract, valid until June 2031.
Personal terms agreed and Atlético to receive £35m fee, as revealed yesterday.
