Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has rejected a move to Liverpool after a week of uncertainty.
Zubimendi was set to join the Reds last week after agreeing personal terms and have his £51 million release clause activated.
Things changed dramatically over the weekend with Sociedad unwillingly to lose the player after already selling star defender Robin Le Normand to Atletico Madrid, offering the 25 year-old a new contract with higher wages.
Zubimendi made his decision to turn down Arne Slot’s side and stay at his boyhood club for at least one more season.

Unconditional love for Real Sociedad, as he’s staying; open to signing new deal.
