Watch when Morten Pedersen hammered home a powerful left-footed strike for Blackburn Rovers in a Premier League match against Fulham.
In football commentary, phrases such as ‘finishing with style’ or ‘netting a brace’ are more common given pundits have a plethora of phrases at their disposal. One phrase being “a wand of a left foot,” which describes left-footed shots that appear more special or even magical than right-footed strikes of similar nature. Like Robin Van Persie’s left-foot volley against Charlton and Everton for Arsenal, as well as the notorious goal against Aston Villa for Manchester United, left-footed wands may well remain without rivalry.
