Harry Kane suffers painful ankle blow against Leverkusen

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane sustained an ankle injury during Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Kane was substituted in the 86th minute, raising doubts about his availability for Bayern’s Champions League match at Villa Park on Wednesday.

Regarding Kane’s injury, Bayern Munich said in a statement on Sunday, “Harry Kane suffered a painful blow to his ankle in Saturday’s top Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen.

“Examinations by FC Bayern’s medical department on Sunday showed a positive development. Kane will continue to receive intensive treatment.”
