Liverpool are reportedly close to securing the long term futures of defensive pairing Ibrahima Konate and Jarrel Quansah.
According to The Times, Liverpool have already begun negotiations with the youthful duo and are closing in on an agreement with both parties.
Konate has been a mainstay at the back alongside Virgil Van Dijk since his arrival from RB Leipzig in 2021, and at just 25 years-old has a bright future ahead of him for the Reds.

22 year-old Quansah burst onto the scene last season after returning from a successful loan spell in League One with Bristol Rovers. The academy graduate has established himself as a genuine first team player, providing competition to Liverpool’s defensive options and much needed depth for Arne Slot’s side.
This will come as good news to LFC’s faithful as anxiety stirs around the uncertain futures of stars Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
