Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has backed newly appointed head coach Ruben Amorim to change the energy at the club following their dismal start to the season across all competitions.
Ruben Amorim was appointed Manchester United coach following the sacking of Erik ten Hag last month, with Ruud van Nistelrooy serving as interim head coach.

Amorim guided Sporting CP to two Primeira Liga titles and two Taca da Liga trophies during his tenure at the Estádio José Alvalade, achieving a 71% win rate across 231 matches (164 wins, 34 draws, 33 losses).
Under his leadership in the Primeira Liga, the team won 77% of their games (120 out of 156), the highest win rate among clubs in Europe’s top 10 leagues during his time in charge.
Amorim’s first match as Manchester United manager will be a Premier League away fixture against Ipswich Town on November 24, and Fernandes believes he has the ability to turn the team’s fortunes around.
