Azzurri aim to progress past Germany in Nations League

Italy play Germany in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League as they look to young guns to progress to the finals.

Coach Luciano Spalletti’s Italy have a hurdle †o get over as they host Germany in the first-leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals at the San Siro. Spalletti may depend on young attackers in his team to overcome Germany.

Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi and Fiorentina’s Moise Kean are ones to watch with Keane putting on a strong show in Serie A this season after netting 20 goals and three assists in 30 starts.

Frattesi on the other hand has been instrumental for Italy in the Nations League, scoring three goals which led to victories for Azzurri and now trails the tournament’s top goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo by two goals.

Italy’s home form has been impressive as they’ve recorded seven wins in their last 10 games (two draws, one loss).

For Germany, this encounter has come at the perfect time as coach Julian Negalsmann will look to prove himself given the squad he has and the recent history between the two Nations.

Germany has won three of their past five head-to-head games against Italy and in contrast Karim Adeyemi and Jamal Musiala may need to step up to get one over Italy.
