Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rivaldo Coetzee looks set to avoid surgery as he continues his recovery from his foot injury.
The 20-year-old recently joined the Brazilians from Ajax Cape Town after he was denied a move to Glasgow Celtic due to failing a medical.
However, Sundowns spokesman Thulani Thuswa has revealed that Coetzee will not be need surgery on his right foot, and is expected to make his return within a couple of weeks.
“It doesn’t look like there will be any surgery,” Thuswa told KickOff.com.
“Everything else is going well with his progression to his recovery.”
Meanwhile, striker Anthony Laffor and midfielder Oupa Manyisa will also be assessed for their respective injuries.
“Anthony Laffor was carrying a knock. He will be checked on how far he is with his recovery. Also remember, there was the international break,” he added.
“‘Every time they come back, they are coming back today, all of them, they get checked for knocks. But so far there are no major concerns.
“Oupa Manyisa was also with an injury, he’s also to be checked today with how far he is.”
