Orlando Pirates captain Thabo Matlaba says he was disappointed that his side could only claim a 1-1 draw against Platinum Stars at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday.
The Buccaneers were forced to settle for a point against Dikwena at the FNB Stadium after Bongi Ntuli cancelled out Matlaba’s opener.
The 29-year-old says he was not happy with a point, and he believes that his side should’ve walked away with maximum points against Roger De Sa’s side.
“We didn’t play well in the first half,” Matlaba told SuperSport TV after the game.
“In the second half at least we created chances. We were able to play and circulate the ball.
“We are not happy with the draw. This is our home and we need to collect maximum points.
“Overall I thought we played well.
“Now we are going to prepare for the derby [against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday].”
Orlando Pirates will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in what is expected to be an entertaining Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:30.
