Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has suggested that Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento could return to the club during the January transfer market.
The Brazilians opted against registering Nascimento for the first half of the campaign after he was ruled out for the season through injury.
Mosimane says he will make a decision in January whether or not to register the 30-year-old to Sundowns’ roster.
“I understand Ricardo is not coming to Sundowns, somebody said that,” Mosimane told KickOff.com.
“But let’s leave it like that until January. Maybe the statement will be different.”
Meanwhile, the Sundowns mentor believes Anele Ngcongca shows all the qualities of a top defender, despite not being a regular starter for the club.
“Anele is a top defender. Anele doesn’t make mistakes. Every week, the way he plays, he plays like this, and sometimes when he is not playing it is not that he is not playing well,” he added.
“In fact the games he started we have won. He is a proper defender, clean, quiet.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will now travel to he Bidvest Stadium to take on Bidvest Wits when the Absa Premiership returns on 21 November following the international break, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
