Polokwane City striker Rodney Ramagalela and Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic have been named the Player and Coach of the month for October respectively.
The 28-year-old won the double at the Absa Premiership monthly awards, scooping both the Goal of the Month (August/September) and Player of the Month (October).
The Rise and Shine striker is currently the Absa Premiership’s top goal-scorer with six goals to his name so far this season.
Ramagalela claimed the Goal of the Month award after netting a stunningly taken chip goal against Mamelodi Sundowns during their 2-1 victory at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 22 August.
Meanwhile, Jelusic walked away with the Coach of the Month award after leading Celtic to three wins in the Absa Premiership, while conceding one defeat to help his team move up to fourth place in the league standings.
The Serbian mentor fended off competition from the likes of Baroka coach Kgoloko Thobejane, Luc Eymael of Free State Stars and Chippa United coach Tebogo Moloi to win the award.
The Player and Coach of the Month awards were selected by a panel of judges made up of members of the broadcast media, football analysts, Absa Premiership legends, and was convened by renowned coach and analyst Farouk Khan.
