Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman believes his side will rise to the occasion when they take on Senegal in their must-win Fifa World Cup qualifier on Friday.
The two nations are set to go head-to-head at the Peter Mokaba stadium in their bid to qualify for the global tournament.
The 29-year-old believes that if Bafana stick to their game plan and maintain their discipline, they can walk away with a positive result against the Lions of Teranga in their crucial qualifier.
“There has been a good buzz in the camp during the week, and in any case in most cases Bafana Bafana rise to the occasion in such big matches. If we execute our game plan according to our full potential, we should beat Senegal. We have proven it in the past that we can beat anyone,” Furman told Safa.net.
“We always respond in big games like these. These are the top end of big games; these are the games which have been in our minds for some time. These are the games to show up.
“The stakes are high and we will give everything. At times emotions run high when we play in these big games, but we must maintain our discipline.”
Bafana Bafana against Senegal kicks off at 19:00.
