SuperSport United youngster Sipho Mbule says playing alongside Dean Furman and Reneilwe Letsholonyane give him the platform to roam free on the field.
The 19-year-old, who made his debut in the Caf Confederation Cup, scored a vital away goal to for Matsatsantsa, despite his side suffering a 2-1 defeat in the first leg of the final.
The Academy graduate says he is honoured to be playing alongside players of Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Dean Furman’s calibre.
“I have players who like to play football on the floor,” Mbule told KickOff.com.
“They show me at training sessions and I’m taking that to use to my advantage.
“I’m happy with how things are unfolding because I always work hard. Playing with players like ‘Yeye’ [Letsholonyane] and Dean Furman gives you the platform to go forward.”
Mbule, who was recently handed the number 10 jersey at superSport, will be hoping to repay the faith coach Eric Tinkler has shown in him recently after making six appearances in all competitions so far this season.
“Wearing jersey number means a lot; it means you are the general,” he added.
“I think the club has given it to me to lead the team in the MDC. I’ll repay the club’s faith they have shown in me with performances and by scoring some goals as well.”
SuperSport United will now welcome TP Mazembe to the Lucas Moripe Stadium when they meet in the second-leg of the Caf Confederation Cup final on Saturday, with kick-off set for 20:15.
