TP Mazembe midfielder Rainford Kalaba has highlighted the threat that SuperSport United pose to their Caf Confederation Cup title defence.
Mazembe head into the encounter against Eric Tinkler”s side at the Lucas Moripe Stadium with a 2-1 lead, and need just a goalless draw or a 2-0 win to defend their title, but Kalaba is not getting ahead of himself.
“SuperSport United are no pushovers, they play good football, especially in the first half,” he told KickOff.
“Their team has been together for a while now, their co-ordination is very good and their coach Eric Tinkler is very experienced,” he said to KickOff.com.
“It won’t be easy for us to overcome them in Pretoria. In the first half, they pushed us a lot, and if they can manage to do that away from home, they will be more difficult in front of their fans.
“Both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are big clubs in Africa, they have made history and it’s good for a player to play for any of those two teams.
“Even Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United too, they are making a name for themselves on the continental level, which is good.
“I was hoping to play for one of the big teams in South Africa. You know, you can never know what the destiny is,” he added.
The two sides are set to clash at 20:00.
