Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was full of praise for Percy Tau who bagged a brace in his sides 4-0 thumping of Baroka on Tuesday night.
Goals by Motjeka Madisha, Themba Zwane and a brace by Tau saw Sundowns secure maximum points against the former log-leaders. Mosimane also praised opposition coach, Kgoloko Thobejane highlighting his sides ability to play attacking football.
“You could see the coach of Baroka, Kgoloko Thobejane, is doing a very good job,” Mosimane said in post-match comments.
“Sometimes we undermine him, he’s playing good football.
“The last 15 minutes, they were a little bit dangerous with their combination play. This how they played against Platinum Stars and Cape Town City. They are dangerous, we couldn’t even contain them,” he added.
The former Bafana Bafana mentor is adamant that the flurry of goals will instill confidence in his side.
“When you score goals, the confidence comes back. Sundowns plays football.
“We got the rhythm and we got the triangles proper. I’m happy for Percy [Tau] to score two goals, because he does everything right but score goals.
“I think he should have scored a hat-trick. It will encourage him to score more goals.
“Overall, we played well. We started well. I think it’s our third game where scored in the first three minutes, which is good and it helps us with confidence,” he concluded.
