SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams has been ruled out of action until January with a shoulder injury.
The Bafana Bafana shot-stopper last featured for Eric Tinkler’s side in the CAF Confederation Cup final second-leg against TP Mazembe where he sustained the injury.
“I’m out for the rest of the year, and only towards of the end of January I’ll probably start training again,” he told kickoff.
“In the CAF final I hurt it [shoulder] when I slipped at one moment, and then the next day it popped out while I was at home, playing around,” he added.
The 25-year-old revealed that he decided not to undergo surgery and is expected to return for action in 2018.
“The option [to have surgery] was thrown out there, but today [Wednesday] I decided not to do the operation and we’re going with the conservative option,” he concluded.
