Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza says the Buccaneers are looking to strengthen their attack during the upcoming January transfer window.
The Buccaneers recently completed the signings of defenders Diamond Thopola and Phetso Maphanga from Chippa United as they continue to bolster their squad for the second half of the Absa Premiership campaign.
Khoza will be hoping that Thopola and Maphanga will stabilise Pirates in defence while stating that the clubs will focus on adding to their attacking options during the transfer window.
“We are no longer conceding goals like we did last season,” Khoza told Goal.com.
“Our technical team has instilled discipline at the back. We just wanted to find balance at the back because we were not 100 percent.
“We hope that Maphanga and Diamond will give us that balance. We need to beef up upfront now.”
The Soweto giants will continue to reinforce their attack having scored just 11 goals in 15 PSL games so far this season
