Ajax Cape Town coach Muhsin Ertugral is confident that his side will end Cape Town City’s dominance over them when the two teams meet in the Ikapa Derby.
Ertugral is set for his first Derby against cross-town rivals, Cape town City and what makes matters a lot more interesting is that the Turkish mentor will face some of the players he coached during his stint with the now defunct Mpumalanga Black Aces.
“City are playing good football and I have great memories of some of their players from my time with them at Black Aces,’ he told IOL.
“It will be a good game, but I am confident we can pull it off,” he added.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates mentor also hailed the ability of new-signing Tendai Ndoro who netted on debut in the 3-1 victory against Platinum Stars.
“Ndoro is a player who is always in an angle in the build-up process, which is why he is able to open up the lines for himself and other players.
“Going forward, we have about seven or eight pass patterns that we use, and Ndoro is aware of them.
“We still need to perfect the patterns, but Ndoro is going to do well for us,” he concluded.
