Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso encourages supporters to attend Absa Premiership matches after experiencing the atmosphere at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The 29-year-old walked away with the Man of the Match award following his impressive performance during their 0-0 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Amakhosi moved down to fourth in the Absa Premiership standings with 30 points while the Brazilians remain top of the table with a four point lead over second place Cape Town City.
“I wish every game would be like this in the PSL with all the fans coming to watch us,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV after the game.
“That’s for every team also. Look at the hype it was today and I hope it continues.”
Cardoso says he hopes to continue improving as a player after helping Steve Komphela’s side keep a clean sheet against the PSL log leaders.
“Our gameplan was me covering those other two centre-backs because they always want to play it around the back and around the sides,” he added.
“I just want to keep on continuing and growing in person.”
Kaizer Chiefs will now lock horns with defending champions Bidvest Wits when the two sides go head-to-head at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday with kick-off set for 18:00.
