Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt voiced his anger at midfielder Xola Mlambo’s lack of respect prior to completing his move to Orlando Pirates.
The Soweto giants confirmed the arrival of the central-midfielder on Monday, however, Hunt took offense to the fact that Mlambo didn’t say his goodbyes to his former teammates and coaches.
“I’m upset with him. He didn’t even come to say goodbye to us,” he told The Star.
“He just left. But I think it is a good deal for us if we look at his age. We sold him to Pirates and there’s no swap deal.
“He was injured for the most of his time with us. Last season he only played regularly in the first round and didn’t feature that much in the second round.
“Other players came in his place and did well in his absence,” he added.
The former SuperSport United mentor also revealed that the Clever Boys won’t be signing Abbubaker Mobara from Pirates despite making queries about the former Ajax Cape Town man.
“We wanted him but we are not going to get him this season. Pirates want to keep him,” he concluded.
