After claiming the scalps of Polokwane City and Ama-Zulu, this year’s giant-killers, Ubuntu Cape Town were handed another Premier League side in Free State Stars.
El La Koto secured their passage to the quarter-finals after seeing off Platinum Stars and Chippa United respectively.
The biggest fixture of the round sees Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City host Absa Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Citizens have already endured a tough journey thus far in defeating Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates, while Sundowns arguably had an easier route in defeating second and third-tier outfits, Cape Town All Stars and EC Bees.
Kaizer Chiefs booked their spot in the quarters following victories Golden Arrows and Stellenbosch FC, however the Amakhosi will find their passage to the semi-finals won’t be as easy as they face fellow Premier League outfit, Baroka.
Bakgaga are no strangers to Chiefs, especially in this competition, having caused a major upset to knock them out of the tournament at the same stage in 2011.
