Bafana Bafana midfielder Keegan Dolly says he is looking forward to facing host nation Zambia in the finals of the Four Nations tournament in Ndola on Saturday.
The South African national team will face host nation Zambia in the final of the tournament after claiming a 6-5 win on penalties against Angola in their opening game of the competition.
The 25-year-old will be hoping Bafana Bafana can continue their winning mentality when they face Chipolopolo in the final of the tournament.
“Even though I wasn’t playing yesterday, I am fortunate enough to have played at that stadium with Sundowns through the Champions League,” Dolly told Safa.net.
“I know what the atmosphere is like there and know how hostile the crowd gets at times, so we need to be mentally strong. It definitely won’t be easy, so we just need to carry on from where we left off on Tuesday and play our normal game.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder welcomes the idea of fielding youngsters in the senior team setup and has heaped praise on the latest players, who have been called up to the national team.
“We are building towards the future and it is so great to see new faces in the team who are gelling quite well and bringing a lot of energy to the squad. There is a lot of work that needs to be done and we are definitely on the right track with the introduction of youngsters into the senior team,” he added.
Bafana Bafana are set to take on Zambia in the final of the Four Nations tournament on Saturday, with kick-off set for 18:00.
