Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane claims that there is a coach in the PSL who phones him regularly in a bid to poach Bafana Bafana midfielder Themba Zwane.
The former Bafana mentor has a reported history of tapping-up players after engaging in talks with Aubrey Ngoma and Lebogang Manyama during their time at Cape Town City.
The former Caf African Coach of the Year appeared on SABC radio station, SAf and publicised the details.
“There’s a coach of a big club busy calling Themba Zwane, I won’t say who it is but it’s not Steve,” he told SAfm.
“If I did the same there would be complaints. The coach is from one of the biggest teams and Themba says he’s calling and calling.
“I know the coach, he’s very close to me but I will protect him,” he concluded.
The 28-year-old has formed an integral part of Mosimane’s side since his arrival from Vardos in 2011. Zwane’s stint has seen him secure the Absa Premiership, Telkom Knockout, CAF Champions League and CAF Super cup titles respectively, in addition to making his debut for the national team.
