Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Sibusiso Vilakazi says he will put his emotions aside when he comes up against former side Bidvest Wits on Saturday evening.
Masandawana have the chance to extend their lead at the summit of the PSL table to six points over second-placed Orlando Pirates.
When asked if there are any emotions from his side heading into the game, the 28-year-old replied: “No, not at all.”
“When you are at the top you can’t relax and you are always on your toes. We need to improve the character when we play Wits.
“We are playing Wits in a very challenging space, we want to continue collecting the points.
“We are at a stage where we want to win games, we have no choice but to win games if we want to win titles and I think that’s all that matters,” he told members of the media at Chloorkop.
The former PSL Player of the Season also stressed the importance of the match to the Clever Boys, who are gunning for a top-eight finish this season.
“Having to play Wits is always a big game because they are the defending champions and they want to find themselves in the top eight.
“The main focus in this game is them moving into the top eight and us trying to win the league, that is why it is a big game, we have to win by all cost,” he concluded.
