Milutin Sredeojevic is sticking to his theory that Orlando Pirates do not form part of the PSL title-race, claiming that they have reached their target for the season.
Goals by Musa Nyatama and substitute Thabo Qalinge secured a 2-1 victory against AmaZulu, which moved Pirates back to touching distance of table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand.
When quizzed about his side’s chances of winning the Absa Premiership title, the former Uganda national team mentor says he is only focused on booking his side’s spot in the Caf Champions League for next season.
“To be sincere, we have already reached our target for this season,” he told the media.
“Now we shall take each game as it comes. For now, we are thinking about Bidvest Wits at Orlando Stadium on the 25th.
“We shall see. We just only thinking about the next match. We’ve no right to talk about anything else.
“Good enough this win puts us one step closer to Africa in the CAF Champions League.
“So this is the target we are looking to achieve and stability in building the team to make supporters happy by playing good football.
“Next match is for the CAF Champions League,” he concluded.
