Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he is impressed with the playing style of Maritzburg United under Fadlu Davids.
The Brazilians will lock horns with the Team of Choice when the two side’s go head-to-head in the Nedbank Cup semi-final on Sunday.
Mosimane says he is highly impressed with Maritzburg’s formation after analysing their style of play.
“It’s not an easy one, you play Maritzburg, I have never seen a team which has effort like that, they have got lefts (left-footed players) and they are awkward,” Mosimane told the media.
“You must analyse the way they play, I swear to God I have never seen a formation like this in my whole life, never, never.
“And it works out and is good, they don’t have a striker. They play with two strikers out wide and that’s where the Belgian [Andrea Fileccia] always scores goals, you see he scores goals from the sides and nobody picks it up.
“It’s like everybody has got his own software playing, I mean, it’s very difficult. Look at Orlando Pirates how they play with their three strikers, with narrowness and speed.”
The match at the Harry Gwala Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
