SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie says his side are hopeful of coming back with at least a point against TP Mazembe when they clash in the Caf Confederations Cup on Sunday.
The New Zealand-born striker is currently the leading scorer in the Caf Confederation Cup, heading into the away game with title-holders TP Mazembe in a top-of-the-table Group D showdown.
The 29-year-old insists that his side will head into the clash against the side from Democratic Republic of Congo hoping to walk away with at least a point at Stade TP Mazembe.
”This will be our biggest game so far in the Confederation Cup. Mazembe are a physical side and play home matches on an artificial pitch, a surface we are unused to,” Brockie told the SuperSport United website.
”We do have footage of them playing Mamelodi Sundowns (of South Africa) for the Caf Super Cup this year and that will assist our planning.
”Playing in front of a capacity crowd in Lubumbashi can be intimidating, but we are hopeful of coming back with at least a point.”
SuperSport United against TP Mazembe kicks off at 14:30.
