Maritzburg United coach Fadlu Davids says they can’t fault any individuals for the Nedbank Cup final defeat to Free State Stars at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.
The Team of Choice finished their Nedbank Cup campaign as runners-up after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Ea Lla Koto after Goodman Dlamini scored the only goal of the match.
Davids says his side will learn from this experience and try and correct their mistakes next season.
“It’s quite frustrating. We’ve got to take it as a team, we can’t blame any individuals. It was a mistake, but these young kids will learn from this,” Davids told the media.
“We have to take it as a team and have to learn from this lessons. Hopefully next season we can correct it.
“We made an error and that was the only chance they had, but nobody is going to say Maritzburg had this possession, this chance.
“Free State Stars are the winners and well done to them. I think they deserved it.”
