Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has confirmed that the clubs has handed striker Mohau Mokate a new three-year contract.
The 26-year-old joined the Team of Choice from Orbit College in June 2014 and has since scored 15 goals while creating six assists from 83 appearances in all competition.
However, Mokate helped to guide his side to the Nedbank Cup final against Free State Stars while playing his role during the successful Absa Premiership campaign, which saw Maritzburg finished a club record fourth in the league standings.
The Maritzburg chairman confirmed that the striker has put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.
“Mokate has also been given a three-year deal by the club,” Kadodia told KickOff.com.
Meanwhile, Maritzburg have already bolstered their squad by signing Denwin Farmer from SuperSport United, while showing a keen interest in capturing Fagrie Lakay and Bongi Ntuli respectively.
