Orlando Pirates-bound midfielder Meshack Maphangule believes he deserves to play for the Buccaneers and will fight for a place in the first team.
The 26-year-old will joined the Buccaneers on a three-year contract when his deal at PSL-bound Black Leopards expires in June.
Maphangule played his part in helping Lidoda Duvha gain promotion to the Absa Premiership after coming out on top in the promotional/relegation playoffs.
The Limpopo-born striker welcomes the challenge of fighting for a place in the Buccaneers first team ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
“I am not at all [scared of competition]. I know what I can do,” Maphangule tells KickOff.com.
“I believe in competition. It will push me to give my best. I like competition because it also gives you a chance to improve your game and not relax.
“I know I am a good player and I deserve to play for Orlando Pirates.
“The first thing to do is to settle down and fight for the jersey. Then everything will follow after that.”
