The 23-year-old recently received a call-up to Stuart Baxter’s Bafana Bafana squad for their participation in the Cosafa Cup in which they walked away with the plate trophy.
This season will be the 23-year-old’s second pre-season with the first team squad and he admits that fighting for a place in the Chiefs team is tough, but he is enjoying the ‘healthy competition’ between him, Itumeleng Khune, Virgil Vries and Brylon Petersen.
‘It’s tough, but I am enjoying it,’ Bvuma told his club’s official website.
‘There is a healthy competition for places.
‘Virgil is bringing in a lot of experience. He’s a good goalkeeper. We are all helping each other.’
