Giovanni Solinas has dedicated Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-0 victory over Free State Stars in the MTN8 to Joseph Molangoane, who broke his leg in the match.

Molangoane faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining a horrific injury during Amakhosi’s win over Ea Lla Koto at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The 30-year-old went in on for a sliding challenge on Stars midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula, but the clash saw the Chiefs player stretchered off with a broke leg.
Solinas says Molangoane’s injury was a huge blow to his team, but hopes the midfielder can make a speedy recovery while Amakhosi soldiers on as they continue their search for silverware during the 2018-19 campaign.

‘We are very happy for this victory but we are also shocked because we lost a nice guy like Joseph,’ Solinas told SuperSport TV after the game.
‘We dedicate this victory to Joseph. It’s a serious injury. I hope this player can come back quickly.
‘My players are shocked in the dressing room. Some are very sad. ‘Rama’ [Ramahlwe Mphahlele] spoke to him now. He is shocked.
‘They lost a teammate, we lost an important player.’
He added: ‘For us it is a bad loss because we lost this player for a long time now.
‘I don’t have the words to explain my emotions. We can only pray for this guy.’
