Kaizer Chiefs new signing Lebogang Manyama has revealed his desire to bring back the glory days to the club that he grew up supporting from a tender age.
Amakhosi sent shockwaves around the South African football fraternity when they snapped up the former PSL Footballer of the Year on a three-year deal, beating off reported competition from Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Following a frustrating spell with Turkish outfit Konyaspor, which saw him only make 10 appearances, net two goals and register one assist in all competitions, Manyama signalled his intent to help the team end their trophy drought.

‘It’s a dream come true,’ he told the club’s official website.
‘I have supported Chiefs from a young age. I grew up on the same street as Brian Baloyi in Alexandra, and that’s how I fell in love with the club,’ Manyama is quoted as saying on the Amakhosi website.

‘I now want to help the club win trophies and to achieve glory, because that’s what the Kaizer Chiefs brand represents to me,’ he concluded.
Due to his free agent status, the 27-year-old can be registered by Chiefs for their MTN8 first-leg semi-final clash against Kaitano Tembo’s side, however with Manyama having not played a competitive game of football since December 2017 – it remains to be seen if he will feature for Giovanni Solinas’ side this weekend.
