Cape Town City midfielder Mpho Matsi has signed a new four-year contract, tying the 28-year-old to the Mother City outfit till June 2022.

Matsi was one of the players that moved to Cape Town when John Comitis bought Mpumalanga Black Aces’ PSL status before the start of the 2016-17 season.
He played a crucial role for City last season while playing alongside the likes of Roland Putsche and Thabo Nodada, despite missing most of the campaign through injury.
The midfielder has since made four appearances in all competitions this season, featuring in their Absa Premiership and MTN8 fixtures.
