Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael says he is not clear on what the solution is following their 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at Goble Park on Tuesday evening.
Ea Lla Koto slumped to their fourth defeat of the Absa Premiership campaign after goals from Philani Zulu and Gustavo Paez saw Amakhosi claim maximum points away from home.
The defeat leaves the Nedbank Cup champions in 15th place on the PSL standings with four points from their first six games.
The Belgian mentor admits that his side continues to repeat their mistakes week-in-week-out, even after studying their faults and improving on it.
‘They had two attacks in the first half and they scored two goals. We had two opportunities, we don’t score. I think we’re repeating the same thing every week,’ Eymael told SuperSport TV after the game.
‘I don’t know what will happen. I’m trying my best, unfortunately, things are not going our way and I’m not clear on what is the solution.
‘We were repeating this yesterday because we were studying our mistakes where we open the gap in the centre of defence for a through pass.
‘I’m very disappointed with some guys and we had a meeting last week. I said if you’re not 100% fit for the game then say it. But I had a problem with one of our centre back [Bangali Keita], I called him today and he said, “no, no I’m 100%”.
‘I told him to pay attention because I don’t want to lose you after 20 or 40 minutes because I will lose a substitution but he said “no, I’m okay” and you saw what happened, When things are like that you feel betrayed. It’s hard to accept.’
