Kaizer Chiefs striker Gustavo Paez refused to shake hands with coach Giovanni Solinas after his side’s 2-0 victory in their Macufe Cup triumph against Steve Komphela’s Bloemfontein Celtic outfit.
Goals by Lebogang Manyama and substitute Dumisani Zuma gave Chiefs a comfortable 2-0 victory against Celtic in front of a packed Free State Stadium on Sunday afternoon, but the result was somewhat marred by the behaviour of the Venezuelan forward who disrespected Solinas after being taken off in the second half.

The reaction will certainly not have helped Paez’s cause for a starting berth, with the 28-year-old managing to find the back of the net on one occasion in the seven matches he’s played across all competitions this season. Media speculation has been running rife linking the forward with a move to defending Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
