Fifa have confirmed that it has received nine registrations with the budding process for the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup.
The South African Football Association (Safa) forms part of the largest-ever list of MAs to have shown their intention to submit a bid for a single tournament in Fifa’s history.
Fifa will now the various bidding and hosting documents, while the member associations will have until 4 October 2019 to submit their respective buds to Fifa.
Prior to that they will be given the opportunity to attend a bud information workshop and observer programme in June during the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup in France
The global association insisted that they will be implementing a fair and transparent bidding process, which includes a clear evaluation model as well as a concrete commitment to sustainability and human rights.
