SuperSport United midfielder Teboho Mokoena says it would be a dream to participate in the Afcon and World Cup qualifiers with the South African national team.
The 20-year-old is set to miss out on Bafana Bafana’s second leg clash in the Chan qualifiers after he was recalled to the Matsatsantsa squad.
The Bethlehem-born midfielder managed to rack up 13 appearances in all competitions for United, while creating two goals in the process.
Mokoena says he will continue to work hard and realise his dream of representing the South African national team in the Afcon and World Cup qualifiers.
“It is a dream of mine to play in the Afcon and World Cup qualifiers, obviously it will be up to the coach but whenever he calls on me I will always give my best and give 120 percent,” Mokoena said.
“I still need to work harder going forward and see what I can achieve. I have set some goals for myself and for me to reach them I need to be consistent and disciplined in what I do. If I keep us with that, this will most likely help me in the future.”
South Africa and Botswana are set to go head-to-head in the Chan qualifier second leg the Moruleng Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 15:00.
