Late goals from Marquinhos and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting handed Paris Saint-Germain a dramatic 2-1 win over Atalanta to book the French side’s spot in the Uefa Champions League semi-final.
PSG got off to a superb start but really should have gone 1-0 up after only three minutes as Neymar raced through for a one-on-one.
The Brazilian however, shanked his effort wide much to the astonishment of his team mates on the bench.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s men seemed to take strength from that early mishap and opened the scoring after a brilliant finish from Pašalič midway through the half.
Into the second period and Thomas Tuchel’s side brought Kylian Mbappé on to try and carve open a chance – but to no avail.
PSG were knocking on the door, looking for a way, and they finally found it in the 90th minute when Marquinhos tapped in after some good work from Neymar.
But unbelievably, it wasn’t done there, as with 94 minutes on the clock, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting slide in from close range to give PSG the most remarkable of wins.
They will now face one of RB Leipzig or Atlético Madrid in the semi-final.
