A superb goal by Ashley du Preez inspired Stellenbosch FC to a narrow 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium to stretch their unbeaten run in the league to nine games.
The result sees Amakhosi occupy seventh place with 12 points, while Stellies moved up to second place on the log, level on 19 points with Mamelodi Sundowns, who sit at the summit of the league standings.
Orlando Pirates 2-1 Sekhukhune United
Two goals in quick succession saw Orlando Pirates come from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win over Sekhukhune United at the Orlando Stadium when Linda Mntambo and Kabelo Dlamini cancelled out Seth Parusnath’s 41st minute opener.
The win sees the Buccaneers move up to sixth place in the league table, level on 14 points with fifth place Babina Noko, and five points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns after nine matches played.
