Orlando Pirates left back Nkosinathi Mthiyane says he will stay at the club and fight for a place in the Buccaneers starting line-up.
The 28-year-old, who spent half of last season on loan at Golden Arrows to get more game time under his belt, made a total of 17 appearances in all competitions for Abafana Bes’thende.
The left back insists he wants to remain at the club and prove himself in the hopes of breaking into the Buccaneers starting line-up.
“All is well with me at the club,” Mthiyane told KickOff.com.
“Nothing has been said to me so I am staying, which is why I am training with the first team full-time now. Since I am fit, I am also ready to play and will work hard to be considered in the team.”
Over the course of his career, Mthiyane has netted seven goals and assisted a further eight from 83 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Thanda Royal Zulu, AmaZulu, Chippa United, Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows.
When the Absa Premiership returns, Orlando Pirates are set to welcome Ajax Cape Town to the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday, 12 September.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 19:30.
