Germany leap-frogged Brazil and Argentina to move to the summit of the Fifa world rankings, while Bafana Bafana continue to occupy 64th spot in the world.
The South African national team remain in 64th place in the rankings, despite their victories over Botswana and Namibia in the Cosafa Cup and Chan qualifiers respectively. They are now set to take on Cape Verde in their World Cup qualifying match on 28 August.
Meanwhile, Germany moved to the top of the table after winning the Confederations Cup, in which they remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.
Brazil and Argentina have dropped by one place. They currently occupy second and third place in the rankings and now trail the Germans by six and 196 points respectively.
Portugal leaped past Belgium (10th), France (9th), Colombia (8th) and Chile (7) to claim fourth place, while Switzerland and Poland made their way up the ranks and are now occupying fifth and sixth places respectively.
