Stuart Baxter has urged supporters to come out in numbers to support Bafana Bafana when they take on Nigeria in their crucial Afcon qualifier on Saturday, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.
Heading in this mouth-watering clash, the South African national team are placed second in Group E with eight points.
South Africa are yet to concede a defeat after claiming two wins and two draws from their opening four games in the group.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles currently sit at the summit of the group, one point ahead of Bafana.
Baxter wants the South African football fans to turn out in droves to create the same atmosphere they experienced in Uyo.
‘We definitely need a good crowd like what greeted us in Uyo in the reverse fixture; truth is, a small crowd won’t be an advantage to us,’ Baxter said.
He asked his players to adjust to different situations quickly and take one moment at a time, adding that they must focus and remain professional at all times.
Bafana Bafana are set to host Nigeria in their Afcon qualifier at the FNB Stadium on Saturday with kick-off set for 3pm.
