Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos says he is not worried about the results but is expecting quality from his side when they come up against Guinea and world champions France.
The South African national team are set to take on Guinea in their first international friendly in Belgium on Friday before they face off against the world champions four days later in Lille.
Lyle Foster was the first internationally based player to arrive, while Bandile Shandu and Goodman Mosele joined the camp after training on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Bafana are still waiting on the likes of Athenkosi Mcaba, Terrence Mashego, Fagrie Lakay, Bongokuhle Hlongwane and Victor Letsoalo.
“I don’t expect a great result but I expect quality, and that is what I saw yesterday at training. They understand the type of competition they’re up against and know that they will need to fight because we know what France can do, come on, they are the best,” Broos told Safa.
“It is a moment of pride to be able to play in Belgium with Bafana and have them there – that is quite special and I’m honoured that it all happened the way it did.”
Bafana Bafana vs Guinea kicks off at 7pm on Friday.
