Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has named Itumeleng Khune in the starting lineup for their crucial Fifa World Cup qualifier against Senegal on Friday.
The South African national team will take on the Lions of Teranga in back-to-back fixtures in the global competition, starting with the first leg at the Peter Mokaba Stadium before heading to Senegal for the return leg.
The Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper has been named in the starting lineup, despite sustaining a fracture to his facial bone last week during his side’s win over Chippa United.
Baxter’s back four remains unchanged as Clayton Daniels, Morgan Gould, Thami Mkhize and Sifiso Hlanti maintain their places in the squad.
Dean Furman comes in for the suspended Bongani Zungu, while Themba Zwane, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Kamohelo Mokotjo keep their place in the squad.
Percy Tau starts for Bafana following his stellar performance against Burkina Faso, and will be paired up alongside Lebogang Manyama, who comes in for the suspended Andile Jali.
Meanwhile, the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala, Phakamani Mahlambi, Keagan Dolly and Eric Mathoho will start from the bench.
